  <dc:description>Letters relating to Mother Maria Elizabeth [Elizabetta Maria] Hesselblad, founder of the Swedish Branch of the  Order of the Most Holy Saviour. The majority of letters are from Mother Elizabeth to the community of Syon Abbey, but this series also includes several letters relating to Mother Elizabeth from and to other correspondents. The letters written by Mother Elizabeth were sent from different Bridgettine houses in Europe, including Casa di Santa Brigida in Rome, Birgittakloster in Altomünster, and Casa Santa Birgitta in Lugano, Switzerland.</dc:description>
