  <dc:description>Large file of papers marked 'Lady Luce, Personal, Miscellaneous' and relating to her activites on Aden between 1956 and 1960. These include numerous letters of thanks received by her from local individuals and societies, an invitation to become the first patron of the Aden Amateur Dramatic Society and various letters relating to her involvement in dramatic productions, a Red Cross Certificate of Commendation, an address by Lady Luce to the AGM of the Aden Branch of the Red Cross Society (30 March 1960), a handwritten history of 'The Red Cross in Aden' (17 pages, apparently the text of a speech given by Lady Luce after leaving Aden), and 14-page typed document of information written for Lady Johnston, wife of Sir Charles Johnston who took over from Luce in 1960, that covers the History of Aden Women's Clubs, notes on local personalities, household routine, furniture and other topics.  </dc:description>
