Personal - Bahrain' and containing various items of correspondence, typescripts and handwritten papers, including thank-you letters sent by Lady Luce in response to gifts or hospitality, two letters to Sir William Luce from Admiral Christopher Bonham Carter regardings  hawks, sacers and bustards (1965) following on from the recent visit to Bahrain of Prince Philip, who had been accompanied by Bonham Carter - as well as a two-page typed account of Prince Philip's visit written by Lady Luce and a photograph from 'The Islander', a typed letter to Lady Luce from Sheikh Isa (April 1965), an eleven-page typescript headed 'Arab Ladies file' containing Lady Luce's notes on local personalities in Bahrain and other Gulf States, women's clubs, etiquette for entertainment, social calls, gifts and so on, a sheet of paper with Lady Luce's handwritten notes on swimming pools around the Gulf, typed notes on the residency building and gardens, as well as housing in the Persian Gulf, and 27 pages of handwritten notes by Lady Luce on 'Housing in the Persian Gulf Area' with detailed descriptions of the architecture and interior design of various Political Agents' residences around the Gulf.</dc:description>
