<dc:title>Papers relating to the poetry collection 'Farewell, Aggie Weston'</dc:title>
<dc:description>'Farewell, Aggie Weston' was first published in 1951, and was Causley's first published collection of poems, and is identical in content to 'Poems in pamphlet' (1951). The collection draws heavily on his experiences in the Navy during World War Two, and the title refers to the founder of sailors' rests, a home from home for sailors posted far from home.

Includes:

1. Typescript version of 'Farewell, Aggie Weston', containing 31 poems [n.d.]

2. Bound typescript, containing mostly the same poems as the above typescript of 'Farewell, Aggie Weston', but the cover has the title '23 Poems'. Some loose-leaf duplicates of the poems 'Yelverton' and 'An Ode to the Sons of Droitwich' are enclosed [n.d.]
