Papers relating to anthology 'The sun, dancing' 'The sun, dancing: Christian verse' was first published for children by Kestrel Books in 1982 and was selected by Causley and illustrated by Charles Keeping. The alternative working title for the anthology was 'Pebbles in the stream' [named after the poem of that title by William Bell Scott]. It is divided into the following sections: Starting points, Creatures and the Kingdom, Prayers and songs, Onwards from Eden, After the dreadful flood was past, Voices and visitors, Christmas, To Epihany and after, The childhood of Christ, To Easter and beyond, Miracles, parables and mysteries, Saints and prophets, God's children, Peace and war, Signs and services and Comings and goings. It includes the following poems by Causley: 'I am the great sun', 'The animals' carol', ' Innocents' Song', 'The ballad of the bread man' and 'On All Souls' Day'. 1.
