  <dc:description>Correspondence, 1966, concerning Christie's new novel 'The Third Girl', 'Thirteen Clues for Miss Marple' and 'At Bertram's Hotel' amongst other titles. A large portion of the letters relate to the publication of Mallowan's book 'Nimrud and its Remains' and arrangements for the Mallowan's autumn lecture tour in America. Includes airmail from Christie describing finding her Grandfather Miller's memorial stone. 
Also correspondence with Gordon Ramsey, relating to his publishing a commentary on Christie's work for Dodd Mead, including Christie's replies to his queries and draft.
Financial subjects include surtax matters for both Christie and Mallowan, summary accounts for Christie and a letter detailing the Christie Copyright Trust's grants to various beneficiaries including the British School of Archaeology, Harrison Homes and payment to the author.
There is also correspondence concerning 'The Mousetrap Steeplechase' at Exeter Races.
File concludes with Christie's New Year letter to Cork in which she'd 'blown off a good deal of steam' about her need for more control over her publishers and finances.
