A detailed description of each file is given below:

i) Newman Building
One file of interior photographs [? 1970s]. Also glass plate negatives. The building was completed in 1965 and named after F H Newman, Professor of Physics 1923-1952 and Acting Principal of the University College of the South West 1951-1952.

ii) Physics Building
One file of exterior photographs plus a laboratory, the library and one during construction [1960s-1980s]. Also glass plate negatives. The building was completed 1966-1967. 

iii) Queen's Building
One file of interior and exterior photographs, including before and during construction, lecture theatre and other teaching rooms, junior and senior common rooms, staff offices and general areas [1950s-1970s]. Also glass plate negatives and oversize items. H M the Queen unveiled the foundation stone on 8 May 1956 and the building was completed in 1958. The architects were William Holford &amp; Partners. </dc:description>
