  <dc:description>Photographs (including oversize) and glass plate negatives of groups of staff and students from halls of residence of the University of Exeter and its predecessor institutions. A detailed description of the contents of the file is given below:

i) Duryard Halls:
Various glass plate negatives

ii) Grendon Hall:
Single photograph of staff and students 1932. Grendon Hall was a large private house in Grendon Road near Livery Dole bought by the Royal Albert Memorial College as a hostel for male students. It opened in Oct 1920 and served until Mardon Hall was ready in 1933.

iii) Hope Hall:
Staff and students from Hartwell House 1922-1923 which became Hope Hall in 1923-1924
