| Description | 'Naked in the Sun' is about a man reminiscing about a Summer in 1981 from the present day in the '90s. It never went beyond pre-production. 'Grief', an earlier film by the same writer/director, was produced and distributed and successful at Sundance.

An envelope labelled 'Photos "Naked in the Sun"' containing photos of, presumably, the location of the film, a house on Long Island;
Postcard (with 'Grief' publicity on the front) handwritten from Richard Glatzer to James Mackay regarding the above described photos, which calls them 'East Hampton Pix'; he also thanks James 'for all the TLC in London'
Correspondence between James Mackay and the BBC and other companies regarding finance and European distribution for 'Naked in the Sun' (unsuccessful);
A letter dated October '95 from James Mackay to Vanessa Redgrave, explaining that he met her 'at Derek Jarman's Charing Cross Road flat in 1983' and asking her to consider acting in 'Naked in the Sun'; attached is an outline for the film;he expresses his belief in the film's potential to garner audiences despite that it is not easy to fund 'due to its lack of sex and violence'
A follow up letter dated February '96 (with no apparent reply from Redgrave in between) asking for her participation in the film;
A reply from Vanessa Redgrave's agent informing Mackay that Ms Redgrave is currently working on other projects.
