| Description | This file also contains documents relating to the production of the Anglo/Italian opera-film 'Integrale Sade'. There is a script (in Italian) and various copies of treatments for the film, in both English and Italian as well as correspondence between James Mackay and Sylvano Bussotti (some of which is in Italian) concerning developing scripts and financing the film. This correspondence also includes some budgets. Other correspondence includes letters from Jessica Purcell and Jane Hope-Kavanagh relating to translating for Mackay.
Other items of interest are various letters to La Biennale Di Venezia (some correspondence is in Italian) and Channel Four Television relating to the funding of the film. There is also an application to the European Script Fund and correspondence with Christina Routh at the European Script Fund about acquiring funding to produce a script for the film.
Some hand written notes [presumably by Mackay] describe a meeting in Rome with details of studio requirements, title sequences and primary scenes. Other hand written documents include details of the musicians and actors required, a pre-production schedule, lighting effects and details of scenes in 'The Passion', a sub-plot in the film. There is also an envelope containing two sets of photographs [possibly of potential filming locations in Rome] and photocopies of various period costumes (in Italian and very faded).
