Events included an exhibition on The Qur'an at the British Library and an Art of Islam exhibition at the Hayward Gallery - both of which opened in April - a colloquium at Cambridge in July, other exhibitions at the Institute of Archaeology and the Science Museum in London, as well as events at the Royal Festival Hal, art performances and public talks. The folder includes programmes, presscuttings, invitation cards, programme sheets and guest lists, brochures and booklets on topics such as calligraphy, as well as An Appreciation written in December 1977 and other articles reviewing the Festival.
