Stoddard (ed.), 'The Middle East in the 1980s. Problems and Prospects. Proceedings of a Conference' (MEI, 1983).There is also a typescript by Gerd Nonneman, 'Have Military Regimes in the Middle East Been any more Effective than Civilian Ones?', which was a paper given at Exeter University as part of Dr Tim Niblock's course on 'Politics and International Relations of the Middle East.'
