| Description | Red photograph album containing 57 unidentifed colour photographs (3.5" x 5", or 9 cm x 12 cm prints) including of mountainous and desert scenes as well as of historic sites. Some have been taken from an aircraft flying over the mountains, and there are also views of the old town of Muscat and the fortifications around its harbour, irrigation channels and rivers, Omani villagers shaving with a handmirror and open razors, camels and plants. There are two photographs in which Shebbeare appears. The photographs were taken using a camera given to Shebbeare by Sultan Said bin Taimur, and the album was compiled as a gift for the deposed Sultan, although he died before it could be presented to him.
