Box 1 - includes prints, slides and negatives showing the Northcott Theatre building, behind the scenes shots, opening night, and various productions, sets and events. Many of the prints are labelled and some are dated.
Box 2 - includes press cuttings concerning the opening of the theatre (1965-1967), Abelard and Heloise (1970) Measure for Measure (1972), the 25th Anniversary (1992), the Friends of the Northcott Theatre, and general cuttings (c1982-2007). Box 2 also includes ephemera consisting of; two postcards showing the Northcott Theatre Stage, a programme for Cinderella and accompanying note concerning Imelda Staunton, a plan of the theatre (c1990s), and two posters for an exhibition "The Seventh Star" at Exeter University Great Hall. Also includes two outsize boards with photographs of interior of the Northcott Theatre and a boarded print showing the Theatre Royal, Exeter in Longbrook Street [demolished in 1962] |
