| Description | A collection of prompt books for Northcott Theatre productions, used by the DSM (Deputy Stage Manager) on book to cue each production. The books are often comprised of individual script pages affixed into a notebook with the adjacent page used as a cue page, or may comprise loose interleaved script and annotated cue pages. These annotations usually comprise lighting and sound cues, blocking notation and dialogue changes. Colour coding or a column format is often used to indicate different sets of cues.
The detail in each prompt book varies by production and the books were produced by a number of different DSM's. Some books contain hand-drawn set plans and prop plots, with occasional timing notes, schedules and other notations. Later books may also contains show reports. |
