TitleProgrammes
DescriptionSeries of programmes from productions performed at the Northcott Theatre, Exeter and Northcott Theatre Repertory Touring productions. The series is not complete, though it includes programmes from a large proportion of Northcott Theatre repertory productions in addition to many from student groups and local amateur productions. The date given for each programme is the first night of the run, except where a programme has a handwritten date on the front indicating which night was attended.
Early programmes for individual productions were often single pages with a cast list and notes on intermissions, wheras later programmes included short biographies of actors, adverts for upcoming shows and films, lists of Northcott Theatre staff and adverts for local businesses. Some of the programmes hold errata slips or inserts informing the public about changes to the cast. From its opening in Nov 1967 until March 1970 the Northcott Theatre also produced magazine programmes containing essays and articles in addition to programmes for individual performances [see EUL MS 348/PROD/PROG/MAG]. In addition to the main run of programmes the series includes an incomplete set of programmes for Exeter Festival, which covers events held by the Northcott Theatre and other Exeter venues [EUL MS 348/PROD/PROG/FEST]
