Beginning with a letter from Robert Serjeant's wife Marion (11 June 1993) telling Bidwell that somebody 'found the Audhali file yesterday', it contains a small B&W photograph showing a group of Arab boys and young men gathered round a figure, a copy of the 1952 treaty between the British government and the Sultan of Audhali, some notes in English and Arabic relating to a broadcast from the radio station Sawt al-Janub (Voice of the South) in March 1962, a series of typed reflections on developments in Audhali during the 1940s and 1950s, most probably written by Robert Serjeant. |
