| Description | Comprising one video recording concerning the newly converted, purpose-built convent building on the Marley Estate in South Brent, which the community of Syon Abbey moved into in October 1990. The recording was produced by Westcountry Industrial Video and the original case is marked 'SYON'. It includes footage of the sisters at work, the outdoor space, and the rooms of the new abbey, including the grate room, the hobbies room, the chapel, the kitchen, the refectory, the community room, and the office. It also includes 40 minutes of footage of the blessing of the abbey by the Bishop of Plymouth on 02 February 1991. The running time is 60 minutes. |
