DescriptionThis series comprises material relating to the research of members of the community, including biographies, compiled by or on request of the community. It includes:

- Biographies and notes on Saint Richard Reynolds, a brother of Syon Abbey who was executed in 1535;

- Biography of 'Abbess Ursula Salisbury or Sutton', extracted from the 'Syon Chronicles';

- A note concerning Bridget Mendanha;

- Manuscript notes entitled 'Miss Blanche Moody's notes (daughter in law of Mr Wilberforce) Sr. Bridget Rickett', concerning Sister Bridget (Elizabeth) Rickett/Ricketts [see also EUL MS 389/HIST/1/6 for correspondence];

- Typescript notes on the life and familiy history of 'Lady Abbess [Ignatius] Budd';

- Three files of 'pedigrees' [genealogy charts] relating to members of the community;

- File containing a letter from Francis Skeet (1922) and a history of' Widdrington of Cartington' [family of John Widdrington, first prior of Syon Abbey]; and a pedigree [genealogy chart] of the Boleyn family (including Anne Boleyn, Queen of England, who was distantly related to a Syon nun);

- Document entitled 'Extracts copied from 'History of Denham, Bucks., by Rev. R.H. Lathbury' comprising typescript notes concerning Agnes Jordan, the Bowyer family, Sister Mary Bowyer, and how the cartulary of a charter roll of Edward IV may have come into possession of the community;

- Typescript notes on 'The Gibbs Pedigree by Lord Aldenham...and the Family of Gibbs of Fenton by Hert Gibbs, June 1907', presumably for research on Elizabeth Gibbs or Gybbes, abbess of Syon from 1497 to 1518;

- Two typescript copy letters, dated 1893, concerning the fates of Syon sisters who returned to England from Lisbon in 1809. One letter is from Sister Mary Isabella Howard of St Dominic's Priory in Stone, and one letter is from Mother Mary Bernard of St Mary's in Handsworth;

- Brass rubbing of Margaret Dely (Syon nun who died in 1561) on cloth.
