Description | Recording of Jerry Wayne and Jeff Wayne singing the proposed songs for a musical comedy adaptation of Ronald Duncan's novel 'Saint Spiv''. The composer addresses Ronald Duncan at various points through the pieces and he is asked to give his opinion as soon as possible. At 13:50, there is a brief recording of a male voice, possibly Duncan's, singing the tune of one of the numbers. This is followed by a dictated letter from Ronald Duncan to Mr. Turner concerning a selection of poems with concerns about the consistency of their quality. Housed in Emitape box labelled 'Music for E. Pounds Play' and later crossed out. Duration 46:24. Digital surrogate available.
