| Description | Ronald Duncan's pocket, desk and engagements diaries from 1951-1982. The diaries show appointments, travel arrangements, visits with friends, performances and launches of Duncan's work, deadlines and other events. Most of the diaries contain brief appointment style entries, though EUL MS 397/15/1/24 and EUL MS 397/15/1/27 contain more detailed entries. Some contain drafts of poems or other additional notations and the majority contain phone numbers and addresses for Duncan's friends and contacts. This section contains Duncan's 'Diary of a Poem' [EUL MS 397/15/1/27] which holds detailed entries relating to his composition of 'Man' and Virginia Maskell's death. |
