| Description | Brown workbook labelled 'Promus' and 'Diary 1964-1967'. Mainly comprises Duncan's 'Diary of a Poem' (17 May 1966-27 August 1968). The diary of a poem records Duncan's progress working on his epic poem 'Man' in addition to his daily life, and includes a large section on Virginia Maskell's suicide. Also includes short notes and aphorisms (dated July 1964-March 1965) in the front and four typescript pages of autobiographical material inserted in the back. |
