Many of the poems are signed and dated, and include some illustrated poems and some written on unusual mediums. Includes 'Do not cling to me thus' a cantata dedicated to Virginia [Maskell] with a personal note to her on the front page signed 'Arab' [Ronald Duncan]. Also includes a manuscript poem 'The earths excited with leaf and labour..' in an envelope marked 'Ms. of Britten for Peace Pledge March' and 'Ms. of poem for Britten'. Some items are outsize.
