Title | 'The Catalyst' |
Description | Typescript drafts for the play 'The Catalyst', also known as 'Menage a Trois'. The play was banned by the Lord Chamberlain when it was written in 1957 and consequently it's first presentation was by the English Stage Company at The Arts Theatre Club London in 1958. In 1963 the Lord Chamberlain granted a licence for the play without any alteration to the text and it was performed by Marlan Productions Limited at The Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue in March 1963. The first production starred Virginia Maskell as 'Leonie'. The play was published by Rebel Press in 1964. |
