| Description | Two boxes of papers relating to activities of the Kurdish community in Sweden, of which Sheikhmous was an active member, including details of public and political events, academic seminars, cultural meetings, exhibitions and performances. The documents include publicity materials, booklets, posters, press cuttings, conference papers, forms, lists of names and addresses and correspondence. Among the organisations represented are the Kurdiska Riksförbundet, Komeleya Nivîskarên Kurd li Swêdê, Föreningen Kurdiska Bibliotekets Vänner and Kurdistan Awara.
Documents include various presscuttings and online articles from the Swedish press covering Kurdish affairs that were collected by Sheikhmous, a programme of events held in 2009 to mark the 25th anniversary of the death of the Kurdish political prisoner Necmettin Büyükkaya (1943-84) who had briefly lived in Sweden, a letter from Sheikhmous to the Chinese embassy in Stockholm, referring to recent talks and seeking action from the Chinese government (1987), a leaflet published by the Socialist Party of Kurdistan in Sweden (1987), two 1970s pamphlets in Swedish protesting about human rights abuses in Turkey, four bulletins (1970-71) produced by 'Bahoz. Komela Tekoseren Kurdistan' (Organisation of Kurdistan Strugglers - founded in Sweden in 1970 - another leaflet published by the Swedish-Kurdish workers Association (1977), and a B&W copy of an anti-Ba'ath poster printed for the Swedish-Kurdish workers Association.
