Admin History | Christopher Hugh Sykes [1907-1986] was a writer and traveller. He worked for the Foreign Office as an honorary attaché at both the Berlin embassy in 1928 and the British legation in Tehran in 1930. Sykes published on biography, including 'Four Studies in Loyalty', and wrote the authorised biography of his friend and fellow writer Evelyn Waugh. He also wrote for The Times, The Spectator, The Observer and The Daily Mail, and worked in the features department of BBC Radio for twenty years. |
