Includes entries relating to time spent with friends and family; social engagements; meetings with parliamentary colleagues; Cecil Harmsworth's work in the Foreign Office and attendance at the League of Nations in Geneva in January; the Russian famine; the illness and death of his brother, Alfred Harmsworth, 1st Viscount Northcliffe; fishing; political duties in his constituency of Luton; the resignation of David Lloyd George (20 Oct); Cecil Harmsworth's decision to give up active political life; and Christmas.

Contains several pasted-in items, including stamps and newspaper clippings.

Contains an envelope at the back of the diary containing newspaper clippings, a typescript poem about Maida Vale, and a photograph of Cecil Harmsworth and 'HH' (Harold Harmsworth?).
