TitleLetters from 1980
DescriptionFolder containing six letters from Ethel Mannin to Christopher Walker written between July and December 1980. The first letter thanks Walker for writing after a gap of several years in their friendship, which has coincided with the writing of his book 'Armenia', published by Croom Helm in 1980. She discusses the book, Walker's feelings about his sexuality, her life in retirement, move to Devon and forthcoming 80th birthday, losing touch with all her former Middle East contacts except for Walker, queries about former acquaintances such as Michael Adams, Ian Gilmour, Edward Mortimer and others from CAABU, her wish that East Jerusalem should be 'internationalised', and a summing up of her feelings about her 50 years of involvement in Palestinian matters and hope that Walker may live to see Palestine liberated.
