| Admin History | This production was a retelling of the Cinderella story, inspired by the original Brothers Grimm text and various international adaptations. It was described as 'played in and about a wonderful box of theatrical illusions, crammed with surprises, hidden devices and mechanisms to startle and amaze'. (FCP8/H/2) Ashmaid toured various indoor venues across the UK in the winter of 1994-5.
The programme for Ashmaid featured school/childhood photographs of the cast - this device was used again by Kneehigh Theatre for Cymbeline in 2004.
