TitleThe Flying Lovers of Vitebsk
DescriptionThe Flying Lovers of Vitebsk was a touring performance that follows the life of Marc Chagall, a Russian Jewish painter born in Vitebsk in 1887. The production explores themes of artisty, marital love and Jewish culure against a backdrop of developing historical events in the early 20th century.

The production was written by playwight Daniel Jamieson and built upon an earlier production called 'Birthday' performed by the Theatre Alibi in 1992, in which Emma Rice had performed.
