Admin HistoryEast Wheal Rose has the largest remaining Cornish engine house with an accompanying 120ft chimney stack. It was also the site of the largest mining disaster in Cornwall's history when in 1846 a flash flood claimed the lives of 39 men with the mine closing as a result.
