Title
'The Spider of St. Cleer' by Edwin Chirgwin

To give him rest the Parson performs a ceremony afterwhich, seeing a spider on the tombstone, he takes it as a sign that his son has found peace as a spider. The story includes accounts of the Parson's apparent hatred of Methodists and Jacobites and mentions the loss of 'Rogues Roost' in 1776.
